The Story

Our clients’ vision when they bought this house was to have all of the furnishings be British Colonial in character. They loved dark woods, blue and white porcelain, tropical botanicals, woven wicker and cane, and that feeling of “island elegance”. They also had some lovely family heirlooms that we enjoyed integrating into the mix.

We are proud of the custom furniture pieces we created for this home, based on historic documentation of island plantation home furnishings. We also built a new fireplace surround with a handpainted West Indies design, for which we won the “Custom Details” award.
